Merida is a 1-2 year old female French Bulldog. She joined us from the pound after she was left unclaimed. Merida doesn’t appear to have had much socialization around people or other dogs, and when excited she will mouth, and loves to chase your feet! She is a couch potato indoors and will happily spend all day sleeping, however when she is out, she will run and chase her ball all day long! She is a lovely snuggly girl and will make a fantastic companion for her new family!
Merida just wants to snuggle with you! She is without a doubt the sweetest little girl, she is very happy to plod around and loves sleeping on her bed, She loves mine even more, and with a face and smiles like hers, it’s very hard to say no! She is perfectly clean in the house, is not destructive, and can be left for short periods without any problems, in fact, she loves being left to sleep!
She walks well on the lead, and is fantastic off the lead, she is ball and toy obsessed, I don’t believe she has ever had them before and gets really over-excited. Merida loves to give you her paw, it’s very cute and when she is excited, she will literally throw her paw at you!
Merida can be quite-handed shy so I’d imagine prior to coming to us she has been hit, she will squint and hit the floor if she thinks she is in trouble poor little love. She is getting better around other dogs but always on her terms so she would like to be the only dog in the home.
She needs a Bull breed experienced home that fully understands the breed’s needs and quirks! They have quite a few! Merida needs an adult-only home, although we will consider homes with teenagers if they are dog-savvy.
